It's with great pride that we present to you a new selection
of Electro-Swing mixes! Pressing the play button below, you will listen to contemporary versions
of some amazing songs from
the past century.

Swing Grooves

During the development of our work, we noticed that some of the original versions of many of the tracks used, had almost 80 years old!
In order to appreciate these musicians and the "swing music", we researched so we could know more about these songs (that survived almost a century) and of course, we will share this with you!

Ella Fitzgerald

To begin with it, we played a little bit with a song called "The Dipsy Doodle". In the video you can see the same song in the voice of Ella Fitzgerald with Chick Webb and his Orchestra, recorded in 1937. ellafitzgerald.com

Betty Hutton

In this video, the actress Betty Hutton sings
"The Dipsy Doodle" in the short film "Queens Of
"of 1938.

Django Reinhardt renewed

The introduction is the result of a remix from a famous song from the decade of 30, by Django Reinhardt, known as "Vendredi 13". The word Vendredi means friday in french and they say that this recording happened on a friday 13. Anyway the musical luck was very good that day.

"Vendredi 13" is the theme song of the game Mafia (The City Of Lost Heaven), but many of you may recognize it because of the hit "Cut To The Top" from Round Table Knights with Reverend Beat-Man. Check out the official video:

Billie Holiday

Right after we played a remix that uses small pieces from the voice of Billie Holiday singing "Your Mother's Son-In-Law". This is one of the greatest hits from this singer, released in 1933. For more: billieholiday.com

Ella once again...

Once again Ella Fitzgerald with Chick Webb and his Orchestra shows up with a song from the 30's, "When I get low I get high". Lyrics.

Manhattan Transfer

The Manhattan Transfer group, winner of many Grammy Awards, recorded the song "You'se a viper" on the decade of 70. Check out the original version on this video:

Scat Singing

The recording of songs with "Scat Singing" started on 1911. The "Scat" is a singing technique where the singer vocalizes meaningless words, syllabes or mere onomatopoeia, with many improvised melodies and rhythms (any connection between this technique and the musician Scatman is not a mere coincidence!). Check out morehere.

Caravan Palace

We could not leave "Jolie Coquine" behind, by the contemporary band Caravan Palace. This band, with strong emphasis on Electro-Swing, is amazing and worth having every beat listened. This video brings together scat singing, clarinet, guitar, bass fiddle "contrebasse", acoustic guitar and e-music equipments. Who likes, like! Website. Check out here another amazing video.

Parov Stelar

One of the biggest names on Electro-Swing is Parov Stelar. In this video we have Parov, his band and a talented singer with the song Libella Swing.

And more of Parov!

Follows another song of one of the most acclaimed artists of Electro-Swing.

Shea Soul

The voice of Shea Soul, a jazz singer from london, also appear on our recording. It was not possible to locate a video that had the original track of the song that she sang, but we can enjoy some of that amazing voice on this video:

Ray Charles

To end this musical collection, we called one of the biggest artists of all times... Ray Charles with "Hit The Road Jack", composed by Percy Mayfield! Get to know more in his website and check out Ray singing on the video:
